As the founder of Advanced Breastfeeding Support of Las Vegas, I have spent more than 20 years working in healthcare with a passion for helping people feel supported, informed, and empowered.
When I became pregnant with my first baby, I was certain I would breastfeed. I prepared by taking prenatal classes and reading everything I could about breastfeeding, lactation, babywearing, natural childbirth, and newborn care. I thought I was as prepared as anyone could be.
Then my baby was born, and I quickly learned that even the best-laid plans don't always go as expected.
Breastfeeding was not as natural or instinctive as I had imagined. I soon realized I needed help and was fortunate to be referred to an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Without that support, I don't know that I would have been able to breastfeed my daughter. I was told many times to give up, but with the right guidance, I kept going.
During my daughter's first four months, I experienced nearly every breastfeeding challenge imaginable—low milk supply and triple feeding, tongue-tie and laser release, thrush, blebs, and a breast abscess requiring aspiration, drainage, and two months of wound-care follow-up. Eventually, tandem nursing became part of my breastfeeding journey as well.
It was one of the hardest and most rewarding experiences of my life, and it changed the direction of my career.
I began my professional lactation journey in 2016 and never looked back. Since then, I have had the privilege of helping thousands of parent-and-baby dyads navigate their feeding journeys.
Continuing Education, Whole-Body Care
My education didn't stop with becoming an IBCLC. I have continued to expand my training in tongue-tie support and rehabilitation, infant structure and function, infant massage, and Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT).
These areas of study have reinforced something I have come to believe deeply: feeding challenges rarely exist in isolation.
Babies are whole people, and feeding can be influenced by oral function, body structure and tension, digestion, nutrition, and many other interconnected factors.
My most recent area of professional growth has been incorporating functional medicine principles into my practice through the Institute of Functional Nursing. I am passionate about looking beyond the immediate symptom and asking a more important question:
Why is this happening in the first place?
I don't believe in simply putting a band-aid over a problem when there may be an opportunity to understand what is contributing to it. My goal is to look at the bigger picture and help families identify and address underlying factors whenever possible.
Nutrition, gut health, digestion, oral function, infant development, and overall wellness are all areas that interest me deeply. I love helping parents understand their babies and giving them the knowledge and tools to build a strong foundation for health from the very beginning.
As a mother of three, I also know firsthand that every baby is different. Each of my children has taught me something new and has deepened my appreciation for just how individual every feeding journey can be.
I know what it feels like to be exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to do next. I also know how transformative it can be to have someone beside you who listens, understands, and knows how to help.
My goal is to be that person for you. Whether you're navigating breastfeeding challenges, working through oral function concerns, or looking for guidance to support your baby's health and development, you don't have to figure it out alone.
My own journey taught me how important it is to have someone who listens, looks deeper, and helps connect the dots. That's the approach I bring to every family I work with. My passion is helping families move beyond simply managing symptoms to better understand the whole picture, explore the “why” behind their challenges, and create healthier foundations for their babies and their families.
